alarm check valve

DESCRIPTION:

Alarm Check Valve is a crucial element in both wet and dry pipe fire sprinkler systems. When water flows into the check valve, it pushes the clapper, and it is opened. When water enters the alarm line, it activates the alarm pressure, which signals water flowing. It is a non-return valve, which hinders water reverse flow, but this isn’t its main role. The alarm valve controls water pressure in the sprinkler system until it is needed to suppress a fire.

It can be activated either manually through activating a water gong or electronically. A Sprinkler system must contain alarm check valves for the security of the system and corrosion avoidance. It must be installed in the sprinkler system, even if alarm systems are installed as its working mechanism helps in early warning of the real fire in the place. An alarm check valve is used mostly above ground in buildings and high rise structures but also can be used under ground.
